Join Us for Our Community Flag Retirement Ceremony
On Friday, September 11, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA Troops, families, veterans, and members of our community are invited to take part in a meaningful Flag Retirement Ceremony honoring our nation’s flag.
Volunteers will help respectfully retire worn American flags while learning about the importance and traditions of this time-honored ceremony. Scouts and community members will also carefully remove and preserve the embroidered stars from retired flags. These stars will be presented to local veterans on Veterans Day as a heartfelt reminder that they are never forgotten.
This is a great opportunity for Scouts to earn community service hours, give back to those who have served, and make a lasting impact in our community.
After the ceremony, stick around for some explosive treats as we celebrate a morning of service, patriotism, and fellowship!
