Ventura County Council uses online registration for all Scouting memberships. Online registration is fast, secure, and accurate.

Paper membership applications are not accepted.

Scouting America is proud to support our military families by waiving the national youth registration fee for eligible new and renewing members whose families are currently serving in Active Duty, the Reserve, or the National Guard.

Beginning June 1, 2026, eligible families can receive the national fee waiver during online registration by selecting “Get Military Family Discount” at checkout and completing the required military verification.

Ventura County Council Makes Scouting FREE for Military Families!

As an additional thank you for your service, Ventura County Council will also waive the Council membership fee for eligible military families—making it FREE to join or renew your Scouting membership!

How to Receive Your Fee Waiver:

1. Complete your online Scouting registration.
2. Select “Get Military Family Discount” and complete the required military verification.
3. After your military credentials have been verified, enter promo code MILITARY26 at checkout to waive the Ventura County Council fee.
